There is one new rhythm presented in BEYOND the Nine-Note Recorder Method -- both soprano and alto editions.It is the 16th note. You remember that two 8th notes equal one quarter note. Well, four 16th notes equal one quarter note.
So if you count to four evenly and quickly during one beat, you would be counting four 16th notes. Some people say or think: “One-e-and-a” while counting the rhythm which looks like this: Now clap the rhythm below as you listen to it by clicking on the large note to the left.
