How-to-Make a Music Stand for Desktop

Reuse cereal boxes to make a free music stand for use on a desk or table.

1. Cut away the top, bottom, and one narrow end of a cereal box.

2. Start cutting about 1.5 inches from the bottom outside corner of the box.

3. Make a 1-inch cut, going in and slightly down.

4. Cut on a slant all the way to the top corner on that same side of the box.

5. Repeat on the other side of the box. Recycle the cardboard scraps.
