What is a good recorder?
Aulos brand is an excellent choice.

Aulos model 703; model 703 in a wood grain look.

Tenor recorder has the same fingering as soprano but is an octave lower for a lovely, mellow sound. Children can play soprano or sopranino (see soprananino/alto page). But adult-sized hands are needed to play tenor. Here is a link to my favorite tenor recorder.
